Electrical fires are different
Never use water on an energized piece of equipment that’s on fire — water conducts electricity and can electrocute whoever’s trying to put it out. That’s exactly why specific extinguishers (CO2 or dry chemical) exist for this.
Having the gear isn’t enough
An extinguisher does no good if nobody knows how to use it in the panic of the moment. Training and periodic drills are what turn theory into a fast, correct reaction when it actually matters.
